2010 Olympic Torch Relay
Today in Halifax, at Pier 21 the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) announced a number of exciting events related to the Torch Lighting Relay. Coca – Cola and RBC have joined VANOC in presenting the Relay. The Torch Relay emblem, ” A Path of Northern Lights” was unveiled by the partners.
The Torch Relay is designed to extend the live Olympic spirit to the communities across Canada and to encourage Canadians to make a lifelong commitment to the Olympic values. Still to be unveiled is the specific details regarding the relay route, torchbearer application process, torch and uniform designs will be announced in November 2008. I can hardly wait!!
