Tuwanek Shore Dive
Well it is definitely that time of the year. The water is warming up, and the marine life is flourishing. Lets get out there and go diving!!
Tuwanek is found on the Sunshine Coast, a little North of Sechelt, right at the end of the Sechelt Inlet Road. Parking there is limited.
What makes Tuwanek such a nice dive is the variety. With two islands well within a swim from the shore, you can do a two tank dive there. Depths range from being on the wall on the left hand island at 20 feet, all the way to approximately 180 feet of water. With Suncoast Diving on the coast, you have the ability to dive or train there, and the dive center also will train and lead technical dives in Tuwanek for any one who is interested.
The coast is also sporting a dive club called Sunshine Coast Dive Club, and if you are coming from Vancouver and in need of a dive buddy be sure to either email SCDC, or Suncoast Diving and they are more then happy to arrange a dive buddy!
