Victoria Tall Ships Festival

The tall ships are coming to Victoria again this summer!
Over two dozen tall ships from around the world will be in the scenic Victoria Harbor for four days, June 26-29th.
Visitors will be able to walk the decks, look up through the rigging and get a sense of what it must have been like to sail aboard these magnificent ships.
As well, there will be interactive educational activities, concerts, craft fairs and festive events.
Early-bird passes are still available until the end of the month

Vancouver Vaisakhi Parade

The Vaisakhi Parade, organized by Khalsa Diwan Society, will be taking place on April 18 in Vancouver’s “Little India” district.
The parade will start at 11am at the Ross Street Temple and will head north on Main Street, east on 49th, south on Fraser Street, then along 57th back to the Ross Street Temple.
The annual parade draws an increasing number of spectators every year, celebrates the Sikh New Year. The parade and festivities will last throughout the day, wrapping up at the Temple at 4pm.
What a great way to spend the day with the family!

An annual Festival of New Music Composers will be held over 4 nights from (10 – 13 April). The works of 41 different composers will be featured, at the Western Front in Vancouver (303 East 8th Avenue).
The Festival is in it’s 21st year, and this festival is widely thought of as one of Canada’s most important showcases for new work, which includes both mature and emerging composers.
