The 63rd Annual Steveston Salmon Festival is being held on Canada Day. The day begins at 10am with a parade through historic Steveston village, which features 100 entries including floats, marching bands, celebrities, politicians, community groups, vintage vehicles and much much more.

The BC Centre for Ability is a local charitable organization providing a wide range of services for children, youth and adults with disabilities. The concert is being organized by a Burnaby woman, whose son Dex suffers from Cerebral Palsy.
