Calling all bird watchers, on the 31th of May, North Langley’s Glen Valley Watershed will be conducting this years bird count. Not to worry, not experienced, there will be people there to help you sharp your skills. The Glen Valley Watersheds Society will be hosting a wrap up BBQ following the even to give everyone the chance to enjoy good food and mingle with other birding enthusiasts.

Celebrating the beginning of the two year countdown to the Vancouver/Whistler 2010 Winter Olympics, this series of events highlights talent not only from around BC, but also from around the world.
Various venues with be hosting hundreds of performances of contemporary, classical and Aboriginal music,, literary arts, theater, dance and film. The impressive line-up of events will begin February 1 and run through to March 21, 2008.
The Vancouver 2010 Cultural Olympiad Gala Concert takes place on February 12, and includes performances by Feist, Suzie McNeil, Ron Sexsmith, Leela Gilday, Jorane and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.

BC Ferries

BC Ferries

BC Ferries as two mainland ferry terminals, Tsawwassen and Horseshoe Bay, which provide transportation to Vancouver Island, the Gulf Island and the Sunshine Coast.
Tsawwassen is approximately 45 minutes from downtown Vancouver and Horseshoe Bay takes about the same amount of tim, but is north of Vancouver.
Schedules are always changing depending on the season, and some routes can get extremely busy, especially during the summer months.
Ferries usually run every 1 to 2 hours depending on the route.
