Well, as you can probably tell…I have this thing for scuba diving. Every chance I get I jump in the ocean, lake, or puddle just to see what is in there. With that all being said, I feel a need to write about a certain dive shop on the Sunshine Coast called Suncoast Diving.

Whistler will host a showcase of performing arts, literary events, film screenings, snow sculpting, art exhibitions and outdoor stage and street performances in support of the Vancouver-Whistler 2010 Winter Olympics.

2008 BMO Canadian Figure Skating Championship

Approximately 150 of Canada’s best skaters are heading to Vancouver to compete in the BMO Canadian Figure Skating Championship, which will take place January 16-20 at the Pacific National Exhibition.
The results will determine who will represent Canada at the next ISU World Figure Skating Championships.
It will be a great time to see our talented skater’s take the spotlight and show off their talents!

With the Christmas break upon us, there is plenty of spare time to get out and enjoy a good dive. Yes the water will be a chilly 48 degrees, but the visibility will be amazing, in around 30 – 40 foot level. So, if you find yourself up on the Sunshine coast, you should make arrangements to dive the HMCS CHAUDIERE, a 1950’s vintage Destroyer Escort.

Canuck’s goalie Luongo out with rib injury

A rib injury prevented goaltender Roberto Luongo from playing Monday night in L.A.
Luongo, who was the runner up for the Hart and VeZina Trophies last season, suffered the rib injury after a hard shot found a “soft spot” in his equipment in the Dec. 2 game against Minnesota. Despite aggravating the rib again in Chicago on Wednesday, he played again Saturday against Pittsburgh, but said that it continually got worse during the game.
Luongo is 13-10-3 with 4 shutouts and is fifth in the NHL with 2.12 goal- against average and a .925 save percentage.
