Chinese New Year’s Celebrations

by KennyG on January 11th, 2008

Sorry about the down time of the blog…have had a few troubles with the internet connection…but things have finally been all sorted out!
So lets get to some upcoming events..

chinesenewyears1.jpgChinese New Year’s, also know as the spring festival, falls on a different date each year, ranging from late January to mid-February (basically on the second full moon after the winter solstice)
The big day this year is on February 7, but celebrations can occur on weekends before or after this date!

cmdra15.jpgCelebrate the arrival of spring and the Year of the Rat with thousands at the biggest parade through China Town.
Enjoy the lion dance, crafts, storytelling, lucky red packets, and much more for the whole family!
