A short drive from Vancouver will take you to the Horseshoe Bay Ferry terminal, where you catch the ferry to the Sunshine Coast (Langdale terminal) it is approximately a 40 minute ride. Follow Highway 1 for about 60 minutes, through Sechelt and Maderia Park until you reach Ruby Lake Resort. You will find signs along the highway telling you where to turn off, the directions are very easy to follow.
